The Barn

The barn houses up to 7 horses and ponies and occasionally other small animals (baby goats and small lambs).  The camp Barred Rock hens live in their own house near the barn.   All of the animals are friendly and familiar with small children.  Campers and counselors are welcome in the barn when the riding instructors are on duty. Riding lessons are offered to campers age 6 -15 once per week and stable management sessions are offered in the afternoons.  Proper riding attire is required and may be borrowed from the camp. Camp Nashoba takes pride in the ponies who return to camp each summer. They are known for their dependability, suitability and calm manners. All lessons are private.
